Autumn Edenfield, MD
Autumn Edenfield, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Division of Urogynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina. She is double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urogynecology (formerly Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery). She is originally from Charleston, S.C. and graduated from Duke University for her undergraduate education. Dr. Edenfield completed medical school and her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in Urogynecology at Duke University in 2014, then joined the faculty at MUSC.
She is an active member in the International Urogynecological Association, American Urogynecologic Society and the International Continence Society. Dr. Edenfield serves on several writing groups and committees within these organizations and is also a member of the editorial board of the International Urogynecology Journal.
Dr. Edenfield’s research interests include surgical outcomes, the natural history of pelvic organ prolapse and quality improvement in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. She has authored nearly 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at national and international meetings. Dr. Edenfield serves as the director of resident research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at MUSC, overseeing a wide variety of research projects for 24 resident physicians. She is also an active educator and mentor for medical students and OB/Gyn residents at MUSC and is the course director for the Urogynecology medical student rotation. Dr. Edenfield maintains a busy clinical and surgical practice, and her clinical interests include overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
Lara MacLachlan, MD

She is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU), and Society of Academic Urologists. Dr. MacLachlan has served on many committees within these organizations as well as a peer reviewer for AUA Guidelines on male incontinence, overactive bladder, and neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Urology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Urogynecology and Female Urology at Medical University of South Carolina.
